Murphy Powder has been a major distributor to the reloading market for over 60 years. During this period we have actively pursued and maintained a reputation for integrity among our customers, who, in turn, channel our quality products to the valued end-user, the individual handloader.

We do not send out catalogs across the country, nor do we participate in retail sales. Our interest and commitment applies to, and relies completely on, an appointed dealer distribution network of legitimate businesses. This network abides by all Federal, State, and Local laws governing safe-and-legal storage, handling, shipping, and distribution of gunpowder and related products.

The W. A. Murphy Company is an original factory-appointed and factory-approved master powder distributor covering the eleven Western states. We stock all major brands of smokeless powders, and treat each dealers’ needs and situations on an individual basis.

Dealer Requirements

W.A. Murphy, Inc. requires an FFL and/or firearms related resale certificate to be on file.  No retail sales.  Dealer may be required to have a commercial location.  Please contact us for eligibility questions. 

OEM Requirements

W.A. Murphy, Inc. requires an FFL type 6, 7, or 10 and a signed OEM agreement for purchasing bulk OEM powders.
